Marshall Tire Center opened its doors on February 2, 1970 with Smilin' Glen Ivey at the helm. Glen and his wife Dianne bought the store in 1987 and brought in their daughter, Lori, and her husband Mike at that time. The family ran the store together for many years, along with many loyal employees, offering the finest services and products available. Marshall Tire has always focused on customer service and satisfaction. In 1997, Marshall Tire was hit by a devastating tornado that leveled a large portion of the store. But the family, with a lot of help from friends and customers in Marshall, rebuilt and came back bigger and better than ever. Throughout the years, several nieces and nephews, and another son-in-law have worked in the family business. In 2009, Glen and Dianne retired and sold the store to Mike and Lori. Their daughter, Kyndall, began working in the office at that time, and their son works in the warehouse during the summer. They are continuing the great family traditions started by Glen and Dianne.

Mike and Lori strive to continue give the best customer service in the area. They understand that a high quality product, with low prices, is a great tool for customer satisfaction. But it's their great customer service; treating customers like family, that keeps the people in Marshall and the surrounding areas coming back time after time.

More than half of the employees at Marshall Tire have been employed there for more than seven years. They enjoy working at a great company, for good people, serving fantastic customers. Mike and Lori hope to expand their business again in the coming years, and are truly committed to the Marshall community. Mike has volunteered as a baseball coach for more than ten years, and Lori has been an active member of the Chamber of Commerce, Harrison County CASA, and a fundraiser leader for St. Jude's Hospital. They are also active members of their community's church and schools. Both are East Texas Baptist University alumni and continually support that university, along with the other two colleges in the town. Marshall Tire is a also a continual supporter of youth leagues and other non profit charities and civic groups in the community.
